PTRSTAFFING.COM is Hiring a Machine Operator (FT) Near Andover, MA
- Operate and monitor machines to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
- Set up and adjust tooling for different production runs.
- Carefully placing customer parts onto, into or out of baskets, tubs, racks, or other containers as required.
- Notify the HIP Operator, Supervisor or manager with any unusual problems.
- This position is responsible for the care and treatment of the customer’s inventory.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Other tasks and/or duties as assigned for the position.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role is preferred but no required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and operating machinery.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift up to 50lbs, and move heavy objects for extended periods of time.
- Practices safety and good housekeeping.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
- U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand, and follow rules and procedures.
- Must be willing to train on the first shift.
Weekend: Fri, Sat & Sun. (12hr shifts)
"PLUS" for working the 12hr wknd shift, you'll be paid an additional 8 extra premium hours.
- 1st shift (6am to 6pm) - or - 2nd shift (6pm to 6am)
